Learning Journal Final Entry

Today marks my final assigned entry in Intro to Web Technology, I plan to add a link to this learning journal to my portfolio because it shows all the hard work and dedication i put towards this class. This class was very interesting from head to toe. I learned much much more then i could of barging for.

I thought i knew alot about the internet really i thought i knew everything but was i o so wrong, i just knew the basics the outer shell you can say, when you cracked it open there was alot. In this class i learned the history and founding of internet all the key terms that goes along with it, i didnt learn how to do things i learned how things were done.

The most interesting part of this class to me was the modules that involved using web 2.0 tools that was a part of the course i did not know nothing about i didnt even know they existed. They are very usefull tools and i will use them forever know. Creating slideshows and making pictures ready for the internet learned to do stuff i had no clue you had to do to gain that credibility of a site which is another thing we learnded.

This particular course taught me alot, and will always stay with me, because even though the class was online there was so much good lecturing and awsome videos to help us along the way, the work load was heavy but it has to be to really learn. I trully ejoyed this class and would take it again in a heartbeat

Making the podcast was alot of fun and i really enjoyed the assignment it is fun to make somthing like that and see the end result, it is somthing i would defently do again, and i am know a fan of podbean, i do see my self using it again in the future. Also after this assignment i learned what true podcast are i was never really sure all about the podcast scene but know i am a little tuned in.

Google sites was a blast, that was work that i really enjoy and love to do. I only ran into a cpl of troubles and that was with changing text and sizes and what not, but the assigment was not that much of a challenge for me, dont get me wrong it was hard a time comsuming but i never really had any snags everything flowed easy, and would really like to use google sites in the future and on assignments to come.

Learning journal # 5

In this mod i learned alot of interesting stuff that i never knew was out there to use to set up multimedia. The web 2.0 tools were very helpful and easy to understand, and i actually learned alot and will use everything i learned in the near future. The assigments i didnt find difficult since the web tools were very easy to use, but did find everything very time comsuming, everything took a little bit to do. My favorite part of this mod would have to be creating the wiki it was fun and interesting to put all that info into your own words and your own style but yet still get your message across, and the program that we used was awsome. All around i enjoyed every aspect of this mod and believe that i got everything i could out of this one.

Learning Journal Entry # 4

In this last mod i learned alot of very interesting things, i took alot of interest to the topics in this mod because i really enjoy social bookmarking. I am big on music and want to have a career with music and social bookmarking helps me stay up to date on all my music news. The big things that i learned in this mod was everything about e-mail involving clients, servers and protocols i never knew about. I learned the step by step process of how a e-mail is sent all over the world as well as the many different uses of a e-mail. What i found most interesting was listserv or mailing lists i did not know how complex of a system it is or how usefull it can all be millions of people all over the world subscribe to mailling lists, i even belong to a couple, alot of usefull information can be sent to you.

The other part of this mod involves social media and social bookmarking which both play a big part in my life i enjoy ever aspect of media and are very good at it, and through out my life have already learned and know alot of things but i did still learn some interesting info that i did not have no clue about. I gained most knowledge with the info regarding blogging untill this semester of school i have never blogged, i microblog everyday but never blogged so learning key facts about it and to fully understanding everything it is used for from political figures to corporations, teaches all the way to the average joe, bloggs can be very interesting and can give you alot of valuable info.

In Chapter three you learn everything you need to know to complete a successful search, and to get the best reults. This chapter teaches you the steps of a search. One choosing the search tool that is best for you, then comes your topic. The next thing i learned was to choose a good query that will give me the best resukts, then i learned to break downa website and check out the scoop and productivity of the site, and finally i learned to state if the site is credible or not. Chapter three teaches you everything possoble about searches, along the way i did also learn alot of key terms and shortcuts the world of searches.

Michael Chatt Blog entry # 2

In this past learning module i dont feel like i did the best that i could, i showed very poor time management and was late on a couple of assigments. This is something i do not plan on repeating in the future, i have to completely change the way i am doing my online work and change the way i manage my time, i am going to say i am really going to have to spend more time with this class and work invloved. Like i have stated before this is my first online class , and i wasnt really sure about what to expect and am apperantly slacking. That is not me and has to change asap. Going into this next learning module i am going to be very prepared and confident and give it everyhting i got and even try to get in assigments early, because a good grade is what i expect to get out of this and that is what i am going to get

On another hand in this last module i did learn some interesting things about different internet browsers and seeing the differences and they different way that procedures are done. Some browsers are very simple and some are kind of difficult to use. Also i learned alot about online safety and different ways to protect yourself in this dangerous world of the world wide web.

Going into this first test i kind of feel confident and ready but still need to brush up on some things before i attempt it, i know it is going to be diffecult and i want to fully assure that i am well read up on the reading and my notes , so that i can achieve the best grade that i can get.

Learning Journal Entry # 1

This first learning moduel was tuff for me im not really use to the whole online classing yet. There are a few things i will have to change for the next moduel, i will defently have to start loging on alot more because i missed some key last minute assigments and did not have enough time to finish them.

On the other hand the information that i learned in this moduel and in the text was very interesting. I learned some key foundementals of internet and everything that comes with it, from its early history to current times. I also learned all the key figures and icons who created the internet from sinple sending of info from one computer to another into the world wide web. One thing i did really like is learnign all the key terms and learning what everything means, thats a good key tool to learning about the world of technology.
